• Barry Dagenhart  //  Senior Pastor

    Barry Dagenhart was born in Statesville, NC, and was nurtured spiritually in the New Sterling ARP Church.  He studied economics at UNC-Charlotte, graduating in 1979. He holds an M.Div degree (1982) and a D.Min. degree (1993) from Erskine Theological Seminary. While at Erskine, he met Sarah Lynn Richie of Fairfield, Virginia and they were married June 26, 1982.  

    Barry has served as Associate Pastor of First ARP Church, Rock Hill, SC (1982-86); as Pastor of Linden ARP Church in Gastonia (1986-94); as Pastor of Doraville ARP / Peachtree Corners Presbyterian Church near Atlanta, GA (1994-2001); and as Senior Pastor of First ARP Church in Rock Hill, SC since 2001.  

    Barry enjoys working on antique furniture and old houses in his spare time.  Sarah is an educator and a graduate of the master’s program in teaching at Winthrop University.  Barry and Sarah have two children:  Jamey and Rachel.  Jamey lives in Rock Hill with his wife Tiffany, and their two boys, Parker and Caleb.  Rachel resides in Greenville, SC, with her husband, Tyler Kirby.


    Danni was raised in Louisville, Kentucky, but considers Rock Hill her adopted hometown after living here since 2005. She is married to Jason and they have a son, William, and a baby daughter, Parker Jo. William is on the autism spectrum and his participation in All American Athletes and Just Joy brought Danni to First ARP. Danni loves spending time with Jason, William, Parker Jo, and their faith family. She also enjoys serving and leading in Small Group Ministry at her church, reading, cooking, writing, and listening to music.

  • Luke Grigsby  //  Youth Director

    Luke Grigsby joined First ARP Church as Director of Youth Ministries in April 2011. Luke was born in Greenville, SC and grew up attending the Greenville ARP church. He attended Erskine College, graduating in May of 2010 with a B.A. in History and a minor in Bible. 

    Throughout his summers at Erskine College, Luke interned with the First Presbyterian Church in Columbia, SC, Christian Education Ministries of the denomination and worked on the Summer Recreation Staff at the Bonclarken Conference Center. 

    Luke enjoys reading, swimming, traveling and spending time with friends and family. He and his wife Molly have a passion for serving the Lord through Youth Ministry and are excited to be in Rock Hill. 

  • Connie Kiser  //  Director of christian education

    Connie Glidewell Kiser serves as our Director of Christian Education and oversees Sunday School, Wednesday evening programs, Vacation Bible School, as well as special activities for children. A native of Georgia, Connie has been a member of First ARP Church since 1993 and formerly served as Director of Youth Ministries. She is married to Tim, and they have two teenage daughters, Anne Sanders and Emmie. Connie holds a Bachelor's degree in Music and English and a Master's in Education, both from Winthrop University, and a Master's in Music Performance from Northwestern University. She previously taught elementary music in Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools, and continues to teach preschool Kindermusik classes in the Rock Hill area.  

    She personally knows the value of a loving church family, having been raised in the faith by her parents and her home church, Chapel in the Gardens Presbyterian. Connie feels blessed to be part of First ARP and hopes to encourage families and children of all ages "to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord."

  • Elizabeth Manus  //  Office Coordinator

    Elizabeth was raised in Clinton, SC and graduated from Erskine College in 2010 with a BA in Visual Art. She moved to the York/Rock Hill area about four years ago, and is a member of Remedy Church in downtown Rock Hill, where she sings as part of the worship team. Elizabeth enjoys drawing and a variety of crafts, and is a leader of the Friday Arts Project.

  • Virginia McCallister  //  Preschool Director

    Virginia McCallister grew up in Richburg, SC and was a member of Union ARP Church prior to joining First ARP of Rock Hill.  Virginia is a graduate of Clemson University and holds a B.S. in Design and a Master’s of Architecture.  She worked for seven years as an Architect and Graphic Designer before moving to Rock Hill. 

    Virginia thoroughly enjoys serving as the Preschool Director for First ARP Church.  Her son is a graduate of the program and her daughter is currently a student.  Virginia and her husband, James, have been members of First ARP Church since 2011.

  • Patrick Robinson  //  Music Director

    Patrick Robinson first attended First Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church in Rock Hill in 1967 when his father, Dr. Robert J. Robinson (Pastor Emeritus) answered the call to become senior pastor. He has been a member for more than thirty-five years, spending the past 25 as Director of Music. Robinson studied music at Erskine College where he graduated in 1986 with a degree in organ performance. Patrick was the winner of the SC Music Teacher's Association Collegiate Organ Competition in 1984 and competed in the southeast organ competition in Oxford, MS. He has a Master's of Music degree from the University of South Carolina; a Master's of Arts in Teaching degree from Winthrop University; and the Master's of Education degree from Winthrop in Educational Leadership. He formerly served the Chester Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church as director of music from 1982-1986. 


    Patrick is married to his beautiful wife, Heather, and is the proud father to three young boys; Eli, Nathan and Miles. 


    In addition to serving as Director of Music, Patrick has worked many years with the Rock Hill School District, and is currently the principal at York Road Elementary School.
